Montana Silversmiths is proud to kick off the 2nd Annual Buckle Design Contest, celebrating the artistry, skill, and craftsmanship that define the Western industry. This competition invites silversmiths, engravers, makers, and creatives of all kinds to showcase their talent by designing a one‑of‑a‑kind buckle that reflects the heart of Western heritage. 

If you enjoy drawing, engraving, or building out concepts that reflect traditional or modern Western style, we invite you to be part of this year’s contest. We look forward to seeing your creativity come to life. This contest is an opportunity for anyone with a passion for scrollwork, hand engraving, or hand drawn art - to share their artistry. Whether you’re experienced in the trade or exploring it in new ways, we want to see your take on buckle design.

The winning artist will receive a $500 cash prize and the opportunity to have their work recognized by the leader in Western buckles and jewelry.
